Called LC8, it is KTM's first parallel twin-link motor.

The Duke 790 sports a steel frame and uses the motor as a constrained element. This allows it to be the lightest bike in its segment with a dry weight of only 169 kg. In terms of features, the bike features a color LCD dashboard, a throttle, a slipper clutch, an ABS Bosch cornering with supermotard mode and traction control.

The motorcycle will be launched in India via the CKD road and will be badembled by Bajaj at their Chakan factory in Pune. He will face the triumph Street Triumph, Ducati Monster 797 and Kawasaki Z900.
