This turn was triggered when the company, which has about 50 employees, was still known as GrexIt. It was later renamed Winter last year. Winter, which has more than 1,100 paid companies and is largely based in the United States, Europe and Australia, is a shared inbox management solution designed for Google Suite users, helping businesses to manage shared inboxes such as support, sales. and administrator of their Gmail account.

"We believe that Winter could become a product synonymous with productivity for businesses," said Gaurav Chaturvedi, venture capital partner of Kae Capital. Chaturvedi and Rajesh Raju, Managing Director of Kalaari Capital, will join the Winter Board of Directors. The seven-year-old start-up will use proceeds from the new tranche of product development funding, as well as expand its global customer base, Niraj Ranjan Rout, co-founder and CEO of Winter, told ET.

"With this investment, we will fuel our efforts to realize our vision of making Gmail a powerful collaboration platform that companies can use for sales, support and internal functions," Rout said.
