It was a long wait (best summarized by Smriti Irani) but Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh finally released images of their two-day wedding in Italy. Two photos, each of the couple's two ceremonies, were posted on the Instagram accounts of Deepika and Ranveer at exactly the same time on Thursday night. No caption was needed – a simple heart emoticon did the work. Unsurprisingly, the messages went instantly to virality, accumulating tastes and comments. Hrithik Roshan briefly commented on Ranveer Singh's note: "Huge congratulations." The bride and groom were wearing Sabyasachi, who also posted the wedding photos on her Instagram account.
Here are the pictures. Congratulations, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

Karan Johar, the first celebrity to congratulate Deepika and Ranveer on their wedding yesterday, sent her best wishes to the couple on Twitter. Arjun Kapoor, who co-starred with Ranveer in Gunday also congratulated the newlyweds:

Yesterday, Deepika and Ranveer were married at a ceremony traditional ceremony of South India – Konkani rituals, reports the ANI news agency – after which some gritty paparazzi images and some sequences of the wedding party became viral. Besides Karan Johar, other Bollywood people have posted congratulatory messages on Twitter. A second marriage by Sindhi ritual took place today.

The wedding, which was held at the Villa del Balbianello, on Lake Como in Italy, was extremely private business with family and close friends present – combined, the ladkiwale and ladkewale added up to 45 only. The parents of Deepika, Ujwala and Prakash Padukone, and her sister Anisha, ran the ladkiwale – Anisha even updated her Instagram biography to reflect that – and the baaraat included the parents of Ranveer Singh and his sister Ritika.
The ceremonies preceding the marriage would have included a mehendi and a sangeet where Deepika Padukone would have had a moment of emotion as Shubha Mudgal sang a thumri and was later comforted by Ranveer Singh. The still energetic Ranveer would also have played the dhol at his sangeet singing and dancing on the song Tu Ne Maari Entriyaan of his film Gunday, and had "DeepVeer" (as the couple is commonly called by the fans) drawn on his hand during the ceremony mehendi .
After the wedding festivities in Italy, the newlyweds should return to India. On 18 November, they will make their first public appearance on the night of their reception in Bengaluru on 21 December. Deepika and Ranveer will also hold another reception for their celebrity friends in Mumbai on December 28th.
The couple asked clients to donate. at the Live Love Laugh Foundation of Deepika instead of wedding gifts.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been together for six years. They played in three films together – Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and " Padmaavat " – all made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali who will probably be at the reception in Mumbai, as will most certainly Deepika first co-star and director, Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan.
