In the latest prestigious release, the WhatsApp instant messaging platform is about to lose its commercial director Neeraj Arora, one of his first employees.
In a Facebook message announcing his departure, Arora said, "I am confident that WhatsApp will remain a simple, secure and reliable communication product for the coming years." Arora, who was the number four employee, joined WhatsApp in 2011. from Google where he was responsible for the development of the company.
In a statement, a spokesperson for WhatsApp said, "WhatsApp is grateful for the dedication, focus and outstanding work of our leaders and our team."
The application saw the founders and the first employees leave the company since Facebook took power. the company for $ 19 billion in 2014.
WhatsApp co-founder, Brian Acton, left last year, while co-founder and general manager, Jan Koum, left in April due to discrepancies regarding privacy and data concerns as Facebook sought to monetize the platform. During his recent visit to India, WhatsApp CEO Chris Daniels confirmed that the messaging application would monetize the platform by advertising user status messages. Arora had been approached to replace Koum as CEO.
The company recently announced the appointment of Abhijit Bose as head of his country, the first outside California to strive to meet local standards. WhatsApp also appointed a grievance officer in September to handle complaints about false information and misinformation.
