"I took my Puggie Eddie with me to Rajdhani," wrote Mr. Supriyo.
Who among us has not cursed the unstable cellular network during long train journeys? However, the Minister of the Union, Babul Supriyo, has tried to remedy the situation. In a joke tweet posted this morning and deleted since, Mr. Supriyo wrote that he had taken his puppy with him to a Rajdhani, hoping that the Vodafone network would follow him too!
"I took my Puggie Eddie with Sur Rajdhani, I hope that the Vodafone network will follow him throughout the journey. After all, he is their brand ambbadador, as they claim in their ads !! "Mr. Supriyo wrote in his hilarious tweet that was deleted.
He was referring, of course, to Vodafone's famous mascot, Cheeka, who appeared for the first time in an advertisement in 2003. The Vodafone "You and I" ad campaign showed the dog who was following a boy, indicating the slogan "Wherever you go, our network follows".
It is clear that it does not work like this in real life.
However, even though the "trick" did not work for Mr. Supriyo, we are nevertheless grateful for Eddie 's photos.
I took my Puggie Eddie with me to Rajdhani hoping that the Vodafone network would follow him throughout the trip – after all. Brand ambbadador, that's what they claim in their commercials! Alas, that did not help a little pic.twitter.com/8ZgfYNeFqZ
