According to a report of RAC1 FC Barcelona is about to conclude an agreement with the Catalan pharmaceutical group Grífols for the granting of naming licenses to Camp Nou.
Mediapro was another potential contender, but now it looks like Grífols is in pole position. The negotiations are described as if advanced that the agreement could be concluded before the end of the year. However, to be fully confirmed, club members will have to ratify it by vote.
Barcelona is looking for a partner to finance part of the club's planned overhaul for the stadium.
There were rumors that Grífols was a candidate for nomination rights in October 2017, but the company refused them at the time.
Grífols focuses on blood products, hospital equipment and biological sciences – particularly on the search for treatments for diseases such as Alzheimer's disease
