A Patent filed by Sony Interactive Entertainment and released this week has prompted many people to believe that the Japanese giant was working on a successor of the PlayStation Vita, but despite the documentation describing a new product resembling a cartridge, it has absolutely nothing to do with a hypothetical pocket computer. Instead, there is a toy named Sony Toio, released overseas last year
Many were thinking (hoped?) That the company was aligning a successor to his mobile line, knowing that PS Vita should be officially stopped next year.
The manufacturer admitted that pocket drives are "a way to create gaming experiences". Previously, the chances of creating a successor for the PS Vita seemed slim at this stage, especially when it comes to a hands-on behind-the-scenes experience with the PlayStation 5. Of course, a new laptop is not impossible if the right circumstances arise – it just seems unlikely at the moment. And this patent, unfortunately, does not prove anything.
