Same name, new taste.
As the media revealed prematurely, Google renamed its Project Fi wireless MVNO to Google Fi and officially extended support for most unlocked Android phones and iPhones.
Officially, specific devices designed for use on Google Fi, such as the Moto X4, the LG G7 ThinQ and all Google Pixel phones, are best placed to switch between its major contingent networks: Sprint, T -Mobile and US Cellular. They can also access free more than 2 million Wi-Fi access points in the country.
The iOS experience, in beta, reveals a new look at the Fi application that all users should hope to see in the short term. Fi application users also receive the new suite of network tools, which can route all Wi-Fi and cellular Internet traffic via Google's VPN.
Other Android brands supported by Samsung now include Samsung, Huawei, OnePlus, Nokia and Essential. To learn more about which phones you can import, click here.
Google offers some offers for today only. BYOP customers can earn $ 200 credit for Fi service. New and existing customers buying their phone from Google Fi can get the value of their phone of choice with a range of gift cards from Airbnb, Hotels.com, Delta and Southwest Airlines.
