The percentage of polls decreases in Mizoram and increases in deputies: EC

New Delhi: According to the Electoral Commission, voter turnout in Mizoram has dropped significantly, while it has increased in Madhya Pradesh.

The Mizoram registered a turnout of 75%, or 83.41% in 2013. In the 2008 badembly polls, this figure was 82.35%, said the jury.

During the 2014 elections in Lok Sabha, the participation rate was 61.06%.

The EC said that in Madhya Pradesh, a record number of voters (75%) went to the polls to exercise their right to vote. In 2013, the voting rate was 72.13%.
In Madhya Pradesh, no less than 2,899 candidates, including 1,094 independents, are vying for 230 seats, but the main conflict is between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The state has 5,04 eligible voters.

Approximately 3,0078 civil servants, including 45,904 women, were stationed at the polling stations and 65,341 polling stations were installed.

Polling stations were held in the 40-seat badembly of the northeastern state.

The state had an electorate of 7,70,395, of which 3,94,897 voters. There were 209 candidates, including 15 women, in the fray.

Of the 1,179 voting booths, 47 were clbadified as "critical" and as "vulnerable" by the Electoral Commission.

At Mizoram, about 55 percent of Bru voters in the six Tripura relief camps arrived on Wednesday in New Delhi and exercised their right to vote in the 15 special booths created for them after the indignation of the place of vote.

It was feared that the participation rate of Bru refugees in elections would be too high. to be much less because some of their leaders were initially reluctant to come to Mizoram and asked the older system to exercise their right to vote in the relief camps.
