Samsung will be bi-source ultrasound fingerprint scanner Galaxy S10

Industry insiders confirm earlier information that SIG and O-film will both produce ultrasound fingerprint scanners integrated with the Galaxy S10. Both partners partner with Qualcomm to develop the sensors.

The two companies are expected to start launching S10 readers in January, before the flagship product debut in February and its launch shortly thereafter. Taiwan's GIS has higher rates of return, O-film has a high capacity and requires a lower price.

This is what the high-end versions of the Galaxy S10 should anticipate: the S10 base (with a flat screen) is expected to have a side drive. The two companies are also trying to get orders for the next Galaxy Note six months after the S10 (potentially, the A series will join it).

SIG and its competitor TPK provide touch screens for Apple's iPad and iPad. They were joined by O-film in 2017. Analysts predict that geographic information systems will occupy a preponderant share of production, or 50% of the panels.
