Indian equity benchmarks extended their gains for the fourth day. The Sense & Sense BSE Senbad index rose 1.02% to 36,081 and the NSE Nifty 50 gained 0.75% to 10,809.15.

The market was rather favorable to buyers. Ten of the 11 industry indicators compiled by the NSE increased, driven by the 1.15% gain in the NSE Nifty Metal Index. On the flipside, NSE Nifty IT Index was the only sector loser, down 0.21%.
