A 39-year-old Indian Navy commander was sentenced by police in Pune for allegedly downloading his wife's objectionable photos of an online photo application, a police official said on Thursday.
Victim in police complaint Mahadeo Kumbhar, an inspector at the Kondhwa Police Station, said Tuesday that her husband, currently stationed in Delhi, was suffering from "addiction to badgraphy".
The woman, who is a former army officer, said she recently settled at her parents' home. with her children, her husband did not abandon his habit, despite several efforts from him and other family members, he said.
After getting tired of her husband's behavior, the woman moved to Pune and also filed for divorce.
During her move from Delhi to Pune, she brought her husband's cell phone and by checking this out, she found the shocking photos uploaded to the Kumb Har photo application said citing the complaint.
Besides uploading the victim's photos, her husband had also posted reprehensible photos of his colleague's wife and another woman on the application, he said.
"According to the complaint, the accused e-mail account to download the photos of his wife on the photo application," Kumbhar said, adding that they had not received any complaints from other women yet.
The Accused also allegedly had an affair with his colleague's wife citing the complaint
A case was filed against the accused under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Criminal Code Act. information technology, said a police official.
"We will write to the naval authorities to ask him to question him." he said. added.
