I am not a fan of HBO's home broadcast policy for Game of Thrones until now. Each year they come out a season apart with an all-season gift box until now. For me, it's pretty mediocre. Are they expecting fans to continue buying the same season again and again? Of course, I guess it's the choice of the buyer, they do not have to buy the box but can buy each season at the time of its release. It seems a little cynical and would have preferred to see something that would have encouraged you to buy each standalone series to constitute a nice box at the end.

Personally, although I am a big fan of the series, I was waiting for the release of the super duper box 1-8 before buying these series forever. Currently, every recorded episode is recorded on my DVR and I have watched them 2 or 3 times. But I would like to own this last complete set and I suppose the reunion will be a good little extra for that.
At least, I will finally be able to lend my mother the series to watch because she loved the books but was not lucky to receive the channel Game of Thrones airs in the Kingdom United (we do not have HBO).
