A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death in a south Delhi restaurant on Thursday

. Hemant was stabbed in the chest inside the Nukkadwala restaurant near PVR Anupam in Saket around 18 hours. He was taken to Madan Mohan Malviya hospital in Malviya Nagar where he was declared dead by doctors, police said.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Hemant and three other people were working at the restaurant, police chief Vijay Kumar said.

Police and criminal police teams were summoned to the scene and Hemant's friends were also questioned by the police.

Hemant's father, Pradeep, told the ANI news agency that he suspected a restaurant employee of killing his son.

"The police are not saying anything yet, but we think that one of the restaurant staff killed my son," he said.

Hemant's brother, Jugnu, said that since it is a posh colony, there are several CCTV cameras inside and out. outside. the restaurant and he hopes the killers will be identified soon
