Shazam! Director David F. Sandberg revealed how he made the film's magic realistic and believable.
Aquaman went on theaters in December and stormed the global box office. The DC Extended Universe's solo adventure is packed with characters, costumes and fantastic places. In April, the next installment of the CESD comes in the form of Shazam! which will introduce a type of magic very different from the DCEU.

In April 2018, in Hollywood Heroic, we visited the filming of Shazam! and received very interesting information on the process of creating the film. During the visit, director David F. Sandberg explained how he approached the magic of the film so that the audience feels credible.
"It's like, how can we explain that? Well, it's magic. You just have to take magic seriously and make it look like a real world, without feeling too foreign or weird. "
Shazam! will be released soon and will be the first superhero movie directed by David F. Sandberg. The director's two previous films were horror films such as Annabelle: Creation and Lights Out. We all have a superhero in us, we must just a little magic to make it stand out. In the case of Billy Batson (Angel), shouting a word – SHAZAM! – this 14-year-old and subtle adoptive child can become the adult superhero Shazam (Levi), thanks to a former wizard. Still a child at heart – in a torn and divine body – Shazam delights in this adult version of himself by doing what any teenager would do with super powers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he fire lightning from his hands? Can he ignore his social studies test? Shazam undertakes to test the limits of his abilities with the joyous temerity of a child. Shazam! I write this because I had to use all the powers of a former Egyptian wizard to contain my enthusiasm and prevent me from telling you what I am about to tell you for the moment. In April, I received the invitation of my life. Warner Brothers, New Line and DC began sending invitations to filming Shazam! .
I was fortunate to be one of the few journalists invited to filming Shazam! and I must say that I saw some pretty fantastic things. It was the second time that Hollywood visited Hollywood and the first time I came in a movie set, so I was enthusiastic and, as a fan of DC Comics, I screamed inwardly.
It was the first time I visited Toronto and it came with such a cool stipulation. The other journalists and I arrived in Toronto on Wednesday, April 17, 2018. We were able to enjoy the beautiful city on our first night there, and then on Thursday morning, we got up early to visit the filming. [19659010] It was cold in Toronto. Many journalists and I visited Pinewood Studios to watch the shooting of the film Shazam! . We were directed to this office where they showed us this beautiful reel and told us almost everything about the film. Now that the embargo is officially lifted, I can finally tell you just about everything we learned about the filming of Shazam.
