The untitled film is directed by Shilpi Dasgupta and produced jointly by T-Series and Lamba. Other details related to the film are still in progress.
Lamba is popularly known for writing and directing comedies such as Fukrey and Fukrey Returns . Varun Sharma was playing the role of "Coocha" in both films. This will be Lamba's third collaboration with the actor, although producer of the film this time
Sonakshi, who began his career in 2010 alongside Salman Khan in Dabangg had been last seen in the comedy film of 2018 Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi . The film was a sequel to Happy Bhag Jayegi by Diana Penty . Sonakshi recently completed the shooting of Kalank's multi-stage film . Produced by Karan Johar, the film will also feature Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sonakshi and Aditya Roy Kapur in decisive roles. She also announced her involvement in Dabangg 3 to be led by Prabhudeva.
