Vicky Kaushal's film has managed to win a crore of 138.19 rupees at the box office to date
Novice Uri Aditya Dhar: The surgical strike is heading towards Rs 150 during its third weekend at the box office. The war drama became the first Bollywood film to hit the 100 million rupees mark in 2019. The film also broke the box office's dominance of Ranveer Singh's Simmba.
Vicky Kaushal's film has managed to get a crore of Rs 138,19 at the box office up to now. According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, Uri saw more spectators in his second week than Sanju's Ranbir Kapoor, Padmaavat's Deepika Padukone and Simmba's Ranveer Singh, the first three wholesalers of 2018, in their second week respectively. Uri: The Surgical Strike by Vicky Kaushal, published Jan. 11, now faces competition from Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray.

Uri: The surgical strike saw a drop in earnings of nearly 12% in its Collection of the week 2 Rs 62.54 crore compared to the gains of the first week of 71.25 rupees. Sanju posted a 54.24% drop, Padmavat's profits dropped 58.26% and Simmba dropped more than 59.14% in the two weeks.

Uri of Vicky Kaushal is inspired by the actual events of Indian Armed Forces surgical strikes carried out on September 29, 2016. These attacks were carried out in retaliation for a terrorist attack near Uri town in Jammu and Kashmir earlier this month.
Aditya Dhar wrote and directed Uri, produced by Ronnie. Screwvala, under the banner of RSVP Movies. Besides Vicky Kaushal, Uri also stars Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina in key roles.
