Marvel's Joe Quesada invites Bill Maher to the event in tribute to Stan Lee

It's no secret that Bill Maher is not the best representative of the comic book industry. After slammed readers and collectors of comics in a monologue on Real Time with Bill Maher earlier this weekend, many industry professionals have spoken out against the shock of the shock .

Speaking is none other than Joe Quesada, the Marvel leader. The creator turned creative director went on Twitter earlier in the evening to give Maher his ticket plus one for a future tribute to Stan Lee.

And @billmaher If you want, you can come as my plus one, I promise you that I will not ask you to read a comic, but I will ask you to donate to Hero and to sign my copy of Iron Man 3.

"I promise you I will not ask you to read a comic," tweeted Quesada before throwing a snap at the host at night . "But I will ask you to donate to Hero [Initiative] and to sign my copy of Iron Man 3 ."

Of course, the last part refers to the role of Maher in Shane Black movie, something that fans do not hesitate to tell every time the comedian slams comics and superhero media.

"You can, if you like, like exactly what you liked when you were ten, but if you do, you have to grow up," Maher moaned. "That was the purpose of my blog, I'm not happy that Stan Lee died, I'm sad that you're alive."
