Nawazuddin Siddiqui Starrer Thackeray managed to get a decent total at the box office during his opening weekend. The film, which is a biographical film, retraces the life and times of Shiv Sena, the supreme hero, Balasaheb Thackeray collected a total of 22.90 Rupees during his opening weekend.
Thackeray opened its doors at a crore of Rs 6 on Friday and saw a dramatic increase in its collections on Saturday. The day two collections of the film closed on Rs 10 crore. On the third day, the film added a crore of 6.90 rupees at the box office, bringing its total to 22.90 crore.

The film also stars Amrita Rao in the character of Bal Thackeray's wife. Although Thackeray has managed to get a modest total on his opening weekend, it will be interesting to see how he will behave on weekdays. Look at this space …
