BECKY & CHARLOTTE …
Recap: Becky Lynch was the star of the show. She recounted to Ronda Rousey last night and vowed to break her arm at WrestleMania.
Charlotte Flair interrupted and headed for the ring. She mocked the crowd by encouraging Becky, and then boasted of having slipped into the Rumble and winning. She said that such actions had clearly been learned from her. Becky responded with a punch.
A fight ensued and the officials had trouble separating them.
Later, cameras caught Becky backstage limping up to her car. Becky herself stated that she no longer wanted to spend more time on the shelves
Rating: I thought Charlotte and Becky were playing their role well. It seems clear that WWE is comfortable with Charlotte in a clear heel role.
Forecast: A head-to-head match between Becky and Ronda would be the best result for WrestleMania, but tonight seemed like the start of working toward a triple threat. Even if a triple threat would probably still be very good, I hope that my prediction is false and that it is a quarrel for Becky to complete the two months that preceded WrestleMania while Becky and Ronda are in shows separated.
NEW US CHAMPION …
Summary: After the opening segment, R-Truth arrived in the ring for a match for the US title against Shinsuke Nakamura. He explained that the McMahons had given him the opportunity to compensate for the fact that Nia Jax withdrew his place in the Royal Rumble number 30. Sunday
the match was fast. Nakamura had Truth for an Avalanche, but Truth replied in a rollup for a pin. There appeared to be two counts and the two competitors continued to fight as if the match had not ended. The bell rang however and the referee informed Nakamura angry that he had lost.
Rusev went out and challenged the truth. The fighting followed, which led Carmella to shake Lana (who wore a boot at the injured foot). Angry Rusev, who complained about Truth's face and prompted him to put the title on the line. The truth was accepted.
The truth won the game with a quick cumulative. After the match, Nakamura jumped on Truth from behind. Rusev is joined to the beat.
Later, behind the scenes, the Good Brothers confronted Rusev about the double team of Truth. When Rusev did not apologize, they challenged Nakamura and him to a match. Nakamura appeared and accepted.
Rating: It was good to see the truth win the title. It's something fresh and he enjoys the support of his fans at the moment. It is worthwhile to take advantage of his support as he receives it, especially since Nakamura is cold.
While it was clear that Truth was supposed to defeat Nakamura and Rusev with accumulations, the confusion during his victory over Nakamura could indicate that the finish is over. did not go exactly as planned.
Prediction: It seems like it's a heel turn for Rusev. It also seems that he and Nakamura will form a key team. SmackDown revolves around the same teams and having Nakamura and Rusev (and maybe the Good Brothers too) on the photo could refresh things.
TITLE OF HEMP …
Recap: In the last segment of the show, Daniel Bryan went out for a promo. He recapped his victory Sunday and angered Erick Rowan. Bryan accused the fans of not seeing Rowan's appearance and not recognizing that he was an enlightened man. He said that Rowan read the big names and was his intellectual peer.
Bryan then turned to the title belt. He called it screaming, made from cheap labor, and the worst of all is made of the skin of a cow. He called the cow "daisy" and recounted Daisy's ability to feel joy and pain. Fans chanted Daisy. He then threw the title and revealed a new one, in hemp and wood.
AJ Styles then went out and asked Bryan if he had smoked hemp on his belt. Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe and Mustafa Ali then stopped, insulting and wanting to be caught for the title. Triple H came out and solved the problem by stating that they would all be vying for the title at Elimination Chamber.
Rating: Bryan's promotions were very good and he did a great job with his character. The belt was beautiful and looked great.
Prediction: The quarrel around the playoff room may kill a lot of time before WrestleMania, so I would be shocked if Bryan did not keep the title.
