WWE Live Event
in Saskatoon, Sask., SaskTel Center
Derek Report Ruttle, member of Dot Net, [19659004] 1. Bobby Roode and Chad Gable defeated The Revival to retain the raw tag titles against The Revival around 8:00 pm
Let me tell you something, it would be a shame if WWE let The Revival out the door. When these guys do not have the creative constraints imposed by television and they have the right to play in the ring, they form one of the best teams. It was for my money the game of the night. A nice action with exciting close falls that have taken over the crowd.

2. Nikki Cross pinned Tamina in about 1:00. Tamina superkicked Cross before the referee can start the match. After the bell rang, Nikki ate a clothesline and Tamina prepared it for a Samoan Drop. Cross slid down and rolled Tamina for the win. More than one "segment" than a match

3. Apollo Crews pinned Elias at around 9am. Your standard crews correspond to Elias who gets a good warmth. bad Taker fans really do not seem to like it when Elias breaks the rope using the old school. The crews slammed Elias and won with a standing outlaw.

4. Braun Strowman pinned Baron Corbin around 11 am Baron struggled in a t-shirt instead of his stupid shirt! Corbin was much more offended than he would probably have if this match were on television. I was surprised to see him ride Braun for the Deep Six, which impressed the crowd. Strowman with powerslam for the win. Braun is a huge success, especially for children for whom he always wins time.

Intermission

5. Heath Slater, Rhyno and Titus O'Neill defeated Rezar and Ascension around 10:00. I do not know what it is, but Saskatoon loves Rhyno. Whenever WWE has been in town for a few years, the guy may be The Rock as well. Mbadive songs and songs from ECW whenever Rhyno was in the ring. The traffic police must have taken notice of it during the last stops of the city, because Rhyno had the flag after a Gore on Viktor.

6. Bayley and Natalya defeated Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan around 9 am It's like you're watching your clbadic women's match on television, but Natalya made a double Sharpshooter on Ruby and Sarah, and Bayley locked her on a boring Liv Morgan to win the tapout win.

7. Bobby Lashley beat Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre in a 1-2 to retain the Intercontinental title at 8:00. A short main event that could have taken perhaps another 6-7 minutes. But for the time that they spent, it was fun and chaotic. Lio Rush swayed Balor from the top rope, followed by Ambrose, playing babyface, hitting Rush with Dirty Deeds, followed by Drew hitting the Claymore kick on Dean, followed by Lashley who threw Drew with the spear and getting hit of grace on Dean. Lashley later attacked Balor, but Finn took advantage and hit Grace's Blow to send the crowd home.

Notes: A cold night in Saskatoon, with a drop in temperature and weather warnings that announced heavy snow all night, but still a solid turnout. The upper levels were concealed and there were empty seats benches on the lower level. I guess about 4000 to 5000 people were there.

Although he was the predominant superstar, Seth Rollins was nowhere else. Even the announcer of the ring, Dasha Fuentes, said before the show "The regicide is here in the house tonight" while she peered the crowd in search of homemade signs. Rollins tweeted "native language @ Saskatoon, Saskatchewan" with an Instagram photo showing him pointing to the Mania sign, that does not mean that the GPS or his phone's location system confirmed that he was at least to of the city? Or did he tweet before boarding the plane and unexpected travel problems arose? If Rollins is in Regina on Saturday night, another program for which he has been the subject of a lot of publicity, I will report to him air transportation problems. Hey, that sucks, but they happen.

Sasha Banks was also absent and she was also announced. Not sure what happened there. A solid show, the crowd had fun, but the lack of Rollins probably seduced young fans disappointed.
