Finn Balor is ready to get his hands on Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley on Monday, while WWE has confirmed that the two superstars will face each other for the red mark. This comes as a result of the attack that Lashley had launched on Balor last week. Balor went to the WWE Universe after his match against Brock Lesnar on Sunday, which seemed unfit. Yet, Lashley attacked him, adding further to Balor's wounds.
Taking note of this, WWE has now organized a match between the two where Lashley will defend his title during the match. The Intercontinental champion has not yet defended the title since winning Raw a few weeks ago. ( Read also: Brock Lesnar was due to end the series of The Undertaker in 2011)
Meanwhile, this will be the first match for Balor since the WWE Royal Rumble. At the first pay-per-view event of the year, he faced Lesnar for the World Championship. He immediately took control of the game by attacking Lesnar early in the game. Although all that was not enough, Lesnar, despite his injury by Balor, took control of the match and forced his opponent to retire.
It was only the second time that Balor had a chance to win. the title since 2016 and again, he missed the opportunity. He will still have to prove himself in the upcoming events if he needs a big boost for the Wrestlemania 35. ( See also: Dean Ambrose participates in a live event at Saskatoon)
In addition to a Balor vs. Lashley Match, a qualifying match between Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Nikki Cross and Alicia Fox will also take place. The winner of the match will join Niax Jax and Tamina Snuka in the women's team match at the Elimination Chamber. Six teams in total will participate.
