Anil Kapoor became part of the story when Indian director Slumdog Millionaire swept the Oscars in 2009, but the actor remembers the day before the ceremony was reprimanded by his wife.

With a screenplay written by Simon Beaufoy, the film takes inspiration from the novel by author Vikas Swarup, Q & A, and features including Dev Patel, Freida Pinto and Irrfan Khan.

On the labor front, Anil recently worked in films like Ek Ladki Ko Dekha, Aisa Laga and Double Dhamaal.
