Shilpa Shinde is the winner of Bigg Boss 11.

Popular TV actor Shilpa Shinde joined Congress on Tuesday during a ceremony in Mumbai. Sanjay Nirupam, leader of the party unit in Maharashtra, welcomed him. Party leader Charan Singh Sapra was also present at the ceremony.

Ms. Shinde, 42, made her television debut in 1999, but became popular with her role in a soap opera Bhabh i. The actor reinvents himself with the sitcom superhit Bhabhi Ji Ghar By Hai in which she plays the role of Angoori Bhabhi.

Even though her character gains immense popularity, she abandons the series in 2016 after differences with the producers. She was replaced by Shubhangi Atre.

In October 2017, Ms. Shinde participated in a reality show, Bigg Boss 11. She was the winner.

At the election of Lok Sabha in 2014, the Congress had won only 2 of 48 votes. constituencies of Maharashtra. The party can challenge the upcoming parliamentary elections in alliance with Sharad Pawar's NCP.

"Out of a total of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, the NCP and Congress may each compete for 20 seats.The remaining eight seats will be awarded to other Praful Patel, leader of the NCP, recently reported to PTI.
