Shilpa Shinde, winner of the Bigg Boss 11, joins the Congress Party

TV actress Shilpa Shinde, famous for her performance of Angoori at Bhabi Ji Ghar By Hain and who later won Bigg Boss's Season 11, joined the Congress Party on Tuesday, February 5 in Mumbai. The actress joined the political party in the presence of Congress Party President Mumbai Sanjay Nirupam and party leader Charan Singh Sapra.

The actress has been away from the TV for a year and only appeared in a web series. After becoming a household name thanks to her hit television series, the actress is now trying out politics. Shilpa is known for her frank nature and has talked a lot about her thoughts.

Shilpa was recently put on the news for deleting her Instagram and Twitter accounts because she was constantly "tortured" by her fans. Speaking exclusively to the TimesofIndiacom, the actress had stated that she had deliberately decided to delete her account and stay away from social media. Shilpa said she had chosen not to use Twitter because she felt that no one could express her opinion.

After Bhabi Ji, Bigg Boss 11, the actress has appeared on shows like Bhabhi, Maayka, Hatim, Waaris and Chidiya Ghar, to name a few.
