Marvel has released new images of the highly anticipated movie, Avengers: Endgame, during the Super Bowl match on Sunday. Since then, fans are on their guard to find clues to the film's plot and connect the dots as they can.
The last revelation was to see Captain America with his beloved shield again in the new trailer. As many would remember Captain America: Civil War, Tony Stark (Iron Man) had removed the captain's shield when he lied to him about the murder of his parents. He said he did not deserve it anymore. Since then, the captain has remained without. He fought against Thanos without that, but T'challa gave him another shield in Wakanda.
However, seeing him come back with his old shield raises the question of whether the captain really solved his problems with Tony. Which would also mean that he will meet Tony for the duration of the film and that he will not spend the rest of his life in space on a broken ship with Nebula.

There is another, more depressing, reason for collecting the captain with his shield: to make him a perfect goodbye. Chris Evans (who plays Captain America) has repeatedly suggested that Avengers: Endgame will be his latest franchise film. It could also sound the death knell of the hero of the series. So, it would only be fair to see the captain dress in his perfect and perfect uniform, as we remember best.
