WWE Results and Highlights SmackDown, Jan. 5: Becky Lynch AJ Styles, Randy Orton's Steal the Spotlight

The final episode of WWE Smackdown began with Charlotte Flair criticizing Becky Lynch's attack on Stephanie McMahon, who saw "The Man" suspended . Becky appeared in the series trying to interrupt Charlotte's speech, but was stopped by Triple H, who reminded her of the suspension. As the situation warmed in the middle, Becky lost her temper and slapped "The Game" for accusing her of simulating a knee injury. Randy Orton, Naomi, Carmella, Daniel Bryan and Jeff Hardy taking the ring to do their job and entertain the fans.

Rusev and Nakamura defeat Gallows. Anderson : The match was well matched by both teams. Rusev and Nakamura dominated the first few minutes, but Gallows and Anderson managed to give the duo a chance. When it seemed that Gallows and Anderson would win the match, Lana motivated Nakamura to push himself in the final minutes and interfere in the opposing movement of Gallows and Anderson. Rusev finished the match with a "Matchka kick" against Anderson.

Randy Orton def. Mustafa Ali : A brilliant match of Orton and Ali. The fight had everything from superplexes to DDT. Ali landed two consecutive superkicks on Orton to gain some practical momentum, but as he was about to corner him after a sensational DDT, the Viper came into the thick of it and countered it with his trademark – RKO – from the top of the rope to seal the chord. After the match, Samoa Joe came in, chased Ali out of the ring and performed a Coquina Clutch on Orton.

Mandy Rose and Sonya DeVille def. Naomi & Carmella and The IIconics : The new team of Naomi and Carmella launched her dream team against Mandy Rose – Sonya DeVille and The IIconics. It was a quick match! Carmella and Naomi dominated most of the game. But when Mandy cleverly stole a label from a locked Carmella in an abdominal stretch, Naomi intervened and on her own turned the tables in her favor. However, Royce distracted her and Mandy took advantage by running his finishing unit and winning the match.

Jeff Hardy def. Daniel Bryan via DQ: The main event of the last episode of WWE SmackDown was by far the best match of the event. Jeff Hardy and Daniel Bryan were equal against each other that day and teamed up perfectly, to the delight of the audience. As Hardy was about to seal the win, Eric Rowan pulled him out but Samoa Joe appeared again and took Rowan out in a flash. Randy Orton and Mustafa Ali joined them in letting go. When everyone thought it would be the end, the AJ Styles theme song started and the madness continued. Bryan was seen screaming behind the scenes at the end of the series as Hardy won a DQ victory.
