Naga Jhansi, a future actress who starred in a Telugu television series, committed suicide while hanging out at her apartment in Hyderabad on Tuesday night.

According to Punjagutta police, Naga Jhansi (21 years old), originally from Vadali village in Mudinepalli block in Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, was found suspended from a ceiling fan in her room Wednesday in the room of Sairam Residency

. The police rushed home and transferred the body to Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad for autopsy.

Jhansi has appeared in several television series, including "Pavitra Bandham", the famous Telugu television series broadcast on the Star Maa channel.

Police revealed that Jhansi, who also had a beauty salon in her apartment, had an affair with a certain Surya, an acquaintance of the family in the last six months. However, the couple separated recently and since then she was suffering from a severe depression.

Jhansi's parents, who live in their home village, were waiting for her to return to attend a home heating ceremony on February 22nd. Her brother Durgaprasad, who was staying with her in Hyderabad, told the police that family members who were not aware of the affair, however, admitted that she had been suffering from depression for some time. "She had not attended her photo shoots in recent days," he said.

Jhansi had not left any suicide note with her. However, the police noticed a conversation between WhatsApp and Jhansi on his cellphone, confiscated. "We hope to find clues about the reasons why he was killed," said Mohan Kumar, Punjagutta police sub-inspector.
