I was bruised but I fought the F-Back: Jussie Smollett against his racial attack

According to a police report, actor Jussie Smollett was initially reluctant to announce that he had been racially badaulted by two men last month in Chicago.

Smollett, a 36-year-old musician and actor appearing on the show. Empire told the police that he had been approached in the street on January 29 at 2 am.

The ABC7 television channel obtained Monday a partially redacted copy of this report through a request for access to information. variété.com.

According to the report, the officers would have taught Smollett "that he did not want to denounce the offense, but he felt it was in everyone's interest".
The report states that the police found Smollett with a white rope around his neck and that he said the attackers had thrown him an unknown chemical, staining his clothes.

Smollett claims to be accosted by two men dressed in black, one of whom was wearing a ski mask. He does not remember any other details about the suspects.

Chicago police watched hundreds of hours of surveillance videos to find the attackers, but did not find any video of the attack. The ministry released an image of two "people of interest" in the case on Jan. 30.

Smollett played on February 2 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, during which he sought to clarify certain details of the incident.

"I was bruised but my ribs were not cracked or broken, I went to the doctor immediately … I was not hospitalized, and most of all: I fought against the back, "he said on stage.
