The actress is currently preparing for her next comedy, Total Dhamaal . Post that would appear in the production of Karan Johar Kalank which presents an ensemble cast of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Originally, Sridevi was destined to make the film, before his death last February. The role was eventually awarded to Madhuri.
The 51-year-old actor said that she had taken the time to "digest" that Sridevi was no longer.
"What took time was to digest everything that had happened. It was so shocking that I was like, "Do you want me to play this role?" Because even they (the filmmakers) were stuck. They had to continue.
"As a person, it was difficult to manage. As an actor, you know the role, the script. It's a whole different matter. But accepting the truth was very difficult, "she added.
