A warning from the beginning, this film will seduce only the fans of Lego … So there are chances that you love it or hate it.
The narrative takes off from its 2014 edition. Over the last five years, Finn's younger sister Bianca has started taking some of her Lego creations to their basement to play in her own room. Metaphorically, Lego's universe of Bricksburg, overrun by Duplo, is now transformed into a post-apocalyptic desert called Apocalypseburg, where kindness is unacceptable and the brood rewarded.

While Wildstyle Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) complied with the line For other citizens, ruminating is not part of the blood of Master Builder Emmet Brickowski. He tries to negotiate peace between citizens and foreigners with a heart of Lego, but to no avail. What makes matters worse is the nightmare of Emmet Armageddon .

Meanwhile, General Sweet Mayhem, leader of the Duplo Army, arrives in Apocalypseburg and announces his intention to marry Batman to Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi (Will Arnett).

Then his forces kidnap Batman, Lucy, Unikitty (Alison Brie), Benny (Charlie Day) and Metalbeard (Nick Offerman) by taking them to the Syskar system. How Emmet saves his friends and saves the world once again before Armageddon, the essence of the story.

The visual effects and the animation, as well as the voices lent by the cast acutes, are of first order.

You may like this movie because the Lego universe seduces you as a Lego fan, there's enough humor in the cheeky monoliths that make fun of heroic clichés to keep you entertained. And, you like motivational lessons, complicated stuff and remixed numbers.

You can hate it because this fourth installment of the Lego franchise, where everything is supposed to be "awesome", just feels jaded. The magic that led the first film seems to just miss this episode. Motivational lessons seem artificial. Visual gags seem monotonous and uninspired. The plot is complex and awkward. And, the final act is complicated and complicated by illogical sequences of time travel.

But overall, Lego Movie 2: The Second Part is by no means a bad movie. It's just that you can not help but compare with his predecessor.
