The veteran actor Amol Palekar, who was speaking at the opening exhibition of "Inside The Empty Box" in memory of the artist Prabhakar Barwe, at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NAGMA) of Mumbai, found his speech shortened and censored while he criticized recent developments at NAGMA.
Palekar, who is himself a painter and was a close friend of Barwe, made critical remarks about the removal, it seems, of the advisory committees of the gallery centers in Mumbai and Bengaluru. He was interrupted several times afterwards and asked to limit his comments to the exhibition.

A video of his interruption at the Ministry of Culture's demonstration quickly began to become viral on social media.
