The body of the famous Bollywood actor of yesteryear, Mahesh Anand, 57, was found in his Andheri apartment in Mumbai Saturday morning, police said.

Living alone for many years and practically jobless, he is believed to have died. there are at least two days, and the decaying body was sent for autopsy at Cooper Hospital to determine the time and cause of death.

A popular actor of the late 1980s and 1990s, known for his high and hard build, he was generally perceived as the main henchman of the villains in several films, but faced enormous constraints for many years.

Anand played the lead role of actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, in such great films as Ganga Jamuna Saraswati and Shahenshah (1988), Majboor (1989), Thanedaar (1990), Betaaj Badshah (1994), Coolie No 1 (1995), Vijeta (1996), Lal Badshah, Aaya Toofan (1999), Baaghi and Kurukshetra (2000), Py aar Kiya Nahin Jaata (2003).

After a long interval of more than 15 years, he was recently seen in Rangeela Rajaa of Pahlaj Nihalani with Govinda, published last January.

The Versova police recorded an accidental case. Death and Anand's informed sister who lives in Mumbai, said a manager.
