The Bollywood actress, Kajol, was one of many celebrities who attended the wedding reception of Soundarya Rajinikanth and Vishagan Vanangamudi in Chennai on Monday. Kajol, who returned to Tamil cinema after two decades with director Soundarya Rajinikanth Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 or VIP 2 (2017), shared a photo of herself with the bride, from the post-wedding reception party. "A VIP wedding … I wish my sweet director a wonderful life." Kajol co-star VIP 2 was Soundarya's brother-in-law, Dhanush (married to Rajinikanth's eldest daughter, Aishwaryaa). Kajol looked vibrant in a banarasi saree red decorated with temple jewelry, while Soundarya was superb in a red outfit adorned with a heavy gold choker.
The southern actress, Lakshmi Manchu, daughter of Mohan Babu, also attended the wedding festivities with her family. She posted a selfie with the bride and wrote, "And a life of happiness, darling."
Soundarya Rajinikanth and Vishagan Vanangamudi were married according to the rituals of South India in Chennai. Soundarya tweeted some pictures of the wedding ceremony. This is the second marriage of Soundarya Rajinikanth and Vishagan Vanangamudi. Soundarya was previously married to businessman R Ashwin, with whom she has a three-year-old son, Ved, while Vishagan was married to Kanikha Kumaran, a magazine editor.
Soundarya Rajinikanth is also a graphic designer and has worked on films such as Chandramukhi Sivaji and Kochadaiiyaan – all featuring his father. In addition to owning a pharmaceutical company, Vishagan Vanangamudi is an actor and he was recently seen in Vanjagar Ulagam .
