Fans respond to his request to donate food to Siddaganga Mutt


The actor Darshan is celebrating his 42nd birthday today. After the death of Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt last month, the actor announced that he would not celebrate his birthday as usual this time around. He asked his fans not to spend money on cakes and garlands, but to donate food supplies to the Mutt. He took the responsibility of transporting him himself to the Mutt. He also announced his monthly contribution.

His fans took over and invaded his home in Rajarajeshwari Nagar for the past two days, bringing food grains. These are stored at the actor's and delivered to Siddaganga Mutt.

Meanwhile, producers are preparing to reveal new projects with the actor. The long-time music composer of his films, V Harikrishna is the director of his next album, Yajamana. The film was originally scheduled for release on his birthday, but is due out on March 1st. The long-awaited Kurukshetra mythological drama is due out on 5 April.



Upcoming projects include the Odeya underproduction led by MD Sridhar and Robert. MG Ramamurthy, the producer of his first film as lead actor, Majestic, announced that he would produce a film with the actor tentatively called D55.
