With her latest film, director Zoya Akhtar has achieved a feat that only a few could do. Gully Boy can play the lead role in Ranveer Singh, but this gives other actors plenty of opportunities to shine as well. From an electric Alia Bhatt to a promising newbie, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Gully Boy is filled with extremely astonishing and moving performances from a dozen or so actors.
Ranveer carries the film on his shoulders, offering the performance of a lifetime. He has worked a lot on his typing techniques, his body language, his accent and all this is seen every time he enters the frame. Ball of fire energy in real life, Ranveer spends most of his time in the film to keep his head down, to get chopped under the weight of the division. He knows how to smile when his daughter surprises him with a kiss and smiles in tears when a friend proves his friendship. There is no doubt that Ranveer deserves all the praise for his outstanding work in the film.
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy.
Alia also proved once again how easy it is to seduce some talents. She will be the jealous and raging girlfriend that you will never want from one moment to the next. His approving smile will be all you need to go through life. Alia is the rebellious daughter of the house, but also the one who cries in the arms of her father when the rebellion causes him trouble. She screams at her boyfriend as we have already done, begs her parents to let her be as we have already asked. Alia has become one of the best natural actors in Bollywood at the moment and she looks so easy.

Besides Alia and Ranveer, five other actors, big and small, deserve to be recognized. . With their breathtaking performances in the film, they brought Gully Boy a good movie to an extraordinary film and worthy of all the congratulations he has received so far.
Siddhant Chaturvedi
Speaking of natural talent, Gully Boy's greatest contribution to the world of theater will undoubtedly be Siddhant Chaturvedi. The young actor made his debut with the film and left his mark on Bollywood with his first film himself. Even as I watched the movie, I could hear some murmur among the audience: "Who is it? Is this his first film? Is not he really a rapper? "Of course, his relative anonymity was beneficial, but it should not have been so easy for a first actor to blend so well with the character. He is a star that our protagonist admires, a mentor and an artist. But what made it stand out was its warmth. He was not only a teacher, but also a brother, a place of safety as a new world open to a budding rapper. Siddhant has managed to dominate Ranveer in many scenes, without being intimidating. A tightrope to walk but he manages it.
Vijay Raaz
From marmots to worries to diving in the sewers, the cinematographic journey of Vijay Raaz was long and stunning. Always the one who makes you laugh, Raaz drops the clumsy boy image to a character who instils fears every time he appears as part of Gully Boy. He is the violent husband that your domestic help speaks to you, a man who has been so rejected that enslavement has become the truth of his life. Although he tells his son not to dream, his own frustration following the mantra for decades is darkened with violence whenever someone dares to go against it.
Raaz is supposed to horrify you and yet, when he breaks down in this last moment of "weakness", he is the most raw moment of the whole film. You were supposed to hate this man, but looking at him, crying a half-lived life, you can do anything but. It is not difficult to turn the viewer against you and it is not easy to make them sympathetic. But that is what Raaz does in one of his best works as an actor.
Amruta Subhash
The Marathi actor Amruta plays Ranveer's mother in Gully Boy. She may be six years older than him, but their relationship does not feel forced into the casting director's office. For her, things get worse when her husband brings home a second wife, or maybe things are never too prepared anyway. She feels humiliation, takes it as long as she can, but defends herself, even realizing that she has already lost it. The bride will have a room while she sleeps on the kitchen floor. The new bride will have breakfast in bed while she is washing her dishes. Amruta went from mild to protective, from wild to broken with biological ease. It's an actor who deserves to call Bollywood by his first name.
Vijay Varma
After playing the irreducible villain in Pink, Vijay Varma plays a villain with a gold heart in Gully Boy. Varma plays Moeen in the movie – a mechanic, a car thief and a drug salesman. He uses small children to roll grbad for him, but only to be able to feed them. He forces his friends to be nick but believes in their dreams. He is ready to strike anyone who judges him, but will offer his help as soon as he collapses crying. Thanks to his performance, Varma managed to channel Moeen as a dark guy into a dark street, with a big, bright heart. He does not know whether he will hit you in the face or tackle your problems. And Varma makes all this natural.
Srishti Shrivastava
In just five minutes on the screen, Srishti Shrivastava was still able to leave a mark as the fiery mistress of the house, Albina Dadarkar. With only a few sneaky dialogues to work on, Shrivastava makes them his own. When Alia accuses her of flirting with her boyfriend, she barks at him in the true spirit of a woman ready to scratch her face. The scene did as much for her as for Alia. Two angry young women screaming and kicking each other do not always work like gold humor, but with those two, he did it.
