The first episode of WWE Live SmackDown After Elimination Chamber was held at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. NXT stars Aleister Black, Ricochet, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano will continue to play on this episode after appearing on Raw. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan will also have a new challenger on the throne. Let's look at everything that happened during the show-
Shane McMahon and The Miz give the kickoff of SmackDown- The Commissioner of the Blue Mark started the show by recapping the match Elimination Chamber. Miz went out and apologized for letting his team down. The Usos also went out and rebuked The Miz which led McMahon to declare that they would have a rematch at Fastlane for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships.
Aleister Black beats Andrade- After appearing on Raw, Black also made his way to SmackDown Live to further demonstrate his talents. The crowd was really in the action and applauded for the superstars. The match was fast, with plenty of seats in minutes. In the end, Aleister hit Andrade with a black-footed shot to win.
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Sheamus and Cesaro- C was the perfect home and away match to emphasize the durability and strength of Gargano and Ciampa. All the wrestlers worked in optimal conditions for the public who was constantly in the corner of the "DIY". Cesaro tried to put Gargano out of the way, but Ciampa gave him an innovative little pack to win the match.
Mandy Rose on Asuka – SmackDown Live's female champion, Asuka, was pinned by Mandy Rose on her first appearance on the Rumble Royal show. Mandy feigned an injury to the eye that distracted Asuka. Mandy took advantage of the situation and attacked Asuka, then pinned her with a small package.
Ricochet beats Eric Young – In another showcase of Ricochet, he faced the leader of Sanity. He seduced the public with his high-flying offensive and eliminated all other Sanity members. Young looked good in this match and was even busted. Ricochet finally pinned Young with a nice 630 shot to complete a successful outing for the NXT pillars.
Kofi Kingston, AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy beat Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton and Samoa Joe – It was a great televised match SmackDown Live's top six superstars competed in a team team. Everyone got his signature, Kofi getting the biggest of the offense. Daniel Bryan was pinned by a Kofi "reborn" after a Trouble in Paradise.
Shane McMahon then went out and announced that Bryan would defend his WWE title against none other than Kofi Kingston at Fastlane.
