Indian 2 ] is the sequel of Kamal Haasan and Shankar, the great success of 1996 of the same name. In the film, Kamal Haasan played the role of Senapathy, a freedom fighter who also plays the role of vigilante (named Indian) to fight corrupt government officials. At the end of Indian Senapthy escapes the murderous explosion in which his son is killed. He told the officer in charge of capturing him that he would come back the day his services would be needed again.
