This week, WWE made changes to RAW for the second hour of the series, due in part to Seth Rollins' injury status. They almost made their debut in Ricochet in a completely different kind of match.
Dave Meltzer told Wrestling Observer radio that Finn Balor was supposed to fight Ricochet this week during RAW. However, Triple H has resisted well to change this game.
Triple H was able to cancel the match between Balor and Ricochet by Vince McMahon because he did not like the idea of a babyface vs. babyface. He also mentioned that Ricochet should not lose his debut in RAW and that Finn Balor has just won the IC title.
Since neither of the two men could really stand a job, they were badociated, which meant that the WWE had to reunite Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush together.
Finn Balor and Ricochet were supposed to have a deadly match, but there was a big problem with the finish. So the match has been changed. That does not mean that Balor vs. Ricochet will not happen, but hopefully that will make a lot more sense when it happens.
