Rishi Kapoor and his wife Neetu Singh have been stationed in New York since last September, when actor Mulk is undergoing treatment for an undeclared illness. A number of Bollywood stars visited them during this period; The latest to call them was the actor Aamir Khan.

Last September, Rishi spoke to Twitter to inform his fans that he was leaving for medical treatment. He did not reveal the nature of his illness.

Rishi recently talked about his illness. Addressing Bollywood Hungama, Rishi said he hoped his treatment, currently underway, would end soon and that he would come back. "My treatment is in progress, I hope to recover quickly and God willing, I will come back."
