Raj Kumar Barjatya, producer and veteran producer Bollywood, father of filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, died Thursday in Mumbai. The cremation of Barjatya took place in Mumbai and brought together some big names in Bollywood. Among them, Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, Swara Bhasker, Mohnish Bahl, actor-director Satish Kaushik, veteran actor Paintal and producer Jayantilal Gada.
Earlier in the day, actor Bhagyashri, Rajshri's star actor in his film, Maine Pyar Kiya, conveyed his condolences to the director's home. Sachin Pilgaonkar, actor-director, was also seen at the residence of the late filmmaker.

Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt at the funeral ceremony. ] The news of his death was shared by his production company Rajshri Films on his Instagram account. The production company published a photo of the deceased producer accompanied by a caption: "It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of Raj Kumar Barjatya, father of Sooraj Barjatya. That his soul rests in peace. According to various sources, he reportedly died at Sir HN Reliance Foundation hospital in Mumbai on Thursday morning.

Many Bollywood celebrities, including Anupam Kher, Sonam Kapoor, Madhuri Nene Dixit, Shabana Azmi and Swara Bhasker have expressed their sorrow on Twitter.
Anupam Kher, who owes his great Bollywood career to Saaransh, tweeted: "Deeply saddened by the disappearance of #RajKumarBarjatya ji. I knew him since my first movie #Sararansh. Extremely humble and incredibly competent human being. Had a childish curiosity. I loved talking to him about kindness for hours. He practiced it. I'll miss him. #OmShanti. "

Madhuri Dixit, who worked in the magnum opus of the Banner, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, expressed his tweeted sorrow: "A warm soul and a person I would always adore. Deeply saddened by the disappearance of #RajKumarBarjatya ji Thank you for having inspired and guided me throughout my trip. Condolences to @SoorajBarjatya and his family. I hope you find the strength to cry this loss. "

Raj Kumar Barjatiya took over the Rajshri family production house under the authority of his father Tarachand Barjatya and pbaded it on to his son Sooraj. The banner was famous for its family-oriented films.
He was known as Raj Babu and directed several Bollywood blockbusters, including Hum Saath Saath Hain, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Vivah, Prem Ratan, Dhan Payo and Main Prem Ki. Deewani Hoon among others. All these films were made by Sooraj.
Raj Kumar Barjatya is survived by his wife Sudha Barjatya and his son Sooraj. His latest production, Hum Chaar, was released last week.
