The embargo on social networks regarding Captain Marvel was lifted and members of the press shared their first impressions of the upcoming Marvel film. Actress Oscar winner Brie Larson embodies the titular superhero, the alter ego of US Air Force pilot, Carol Danvers, in the first film directed by a woman, Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Captain Marvel will follow the story of Larson's character as she leads a monumental war between two extraterrestrial races transcending galaxies.
The film received rather positive reviews, some calling it. "Radical" and Larson's character a "welcome addition to MCU."
Brie Larson in and in Captain Marvel
Some Initial #CaptainMarvel Reactions:
1. Cats will love this movie.
2. Several truly beautiful musical moments for this 90s kid.
3. Carol's hero moment was very cathartic / faithful to the female experience, IMHO.
4. The MCU feels more complete now that Carol is there. ♥ 1965– Kayti Burt (@kaytiburt) February 20, 2019
#CaptainMarvel is a welcome addition to the #MCU . The film is really well done with good times. #benmendelsohn steals almost every scene in which he finds himself. @brielarson shines literally in the role. So, ready for #AvengersEndGame pic.twitter.com/GET0socRjl – Steven Weintraub (@colliderfrosty) on February 20, 2019
Just out of #CaptainMarvel ]. So many fun surprises that I did not expect + new (and old?) Characters to like.

#CaptainMarvel has good years. sci-fi vibe with a tone that is unlike any other Marvel movie, really. It's retro and trippy, mysterious and dorky. It's funny in surprising and badbad places in all the right places. It's still fun because it's constantly changing. pic.twitter.com/o7AvqYY63x – Erik Davis (@ErikDavis) Feb. 20, 2019
#CaptainMarvel is a RADICAL WORKER! A vintage piece from the 90s and a total recalibration of the MCU as we know it! From the brief cameo Winter Soldier to the six full episodes of Friends that take place consecutively during most of the film, this could be my favorite film for MCU
– Ben Mekler (@benmekler) on February 20, 2019 [19659015] Captain Marvel is an effective pretext for Avengers, which somehow resembles Captain America's first film. It's a pro-woman without being exaggerated with scenes before and after the credit that made me tear and gave me goosebumps respectively pic.twitter.com/or2Oj7CdRV – sonaiya kelley (@sonaiyak) 20 February 2019
#CaptainMarvel is pure joy. I can not wait to see the generation of little girls grow up with Carol Danvers as a hero.

The future of the MCU is even brighter, adding [en ajoutant] #CaptainMarvel to the mix. Really fell for the nerve, strength and energy of @brielarson in the role. Same thing with @LashanaLynch too! Ben Mendelsohn is A + casting as Talos. And yes, Goose is a stage thief. The second visit can not arrive soon enough.

#CaptainMarvel : Well, Thanos is baded.

#CaptainMarvel is a great original story. Brie's buddy chemistry with @SamuelLJackson is so much fun and his relationship with Lashana Lynch is the heart. Ben Mendelsohn and the cat steal the show
