Starting today, February 25, the most-watched new woman on Instagram. Previously, Selena Gomez held the title with 146,267,801 followers. Now, a new artist has overtaken Gomez to grab the title.

This is not the first time pop-icon Selena Gomez loses her most-watched title. In October, football star Cristiano Ronaldo stole the title from Gomez for a short while.

Now, Ariana Grande is the most followed woman on Instagram with a count of 146,283,173 people.

The title change should not be surprising given the constant and frequent presence of Grande on the social media platform.

Grande's growth on Instagram has been quite impressive, attracting 13 million new subscribers over the past four months.

In comparison. Selena Gomez announced in September that she would take a break from social media before joining an inpatient mental health treatment facility.

The Instagram title recently acquired by Grande adds to the resounding success of his new album . U, Next. The album is well placed in the first place of the Billboard 200 for the second week in a row.

Who manages the Billboard chart?

Women dominate the Billboard charts currently as Ariana Grande and Halsey occupy the first four places on the Hot 100 chart.
