Why the IAF strike in Balakot Pakistan is more important than the 2016 surgical strikes

Twelve days after losing 40 CRPF soldiers in a terrorist attack, India fought back, according to sources, striking deep into the Pakistani territory of Balakote and two sites in PoK – Muzaffarabad and Chakothi. The 2.0 surgical strikes, in which 12 Mirage-2000 fighters were used, have a magnitude several times greater than those conducted after the Uri attack in September 2016.
