Viewers were unsure of what to expect for the 91st Oscars ceremony last night. This year's telecast had been mingled with various controversies, from Kevin Hart as organizer – leaving the ceremony without a presenter – to the Oscar-winning film that had never been and threatening to award prices during commercial breaks.
The Oscars finally arrived: there were ups and downs like every year, most categories being correctly named. The biggest surprise of the evening was Olivia Colman, who won the Best Actress award in The Favorite in front of the circuit's favorite, Glenn Close, who, in the opinion of many, was finally going to win his Oscar, this seventh nomination.

Other highlights include the powerful performance of Bradley Cooper's "Shallow" and Lady Gaga, who finally wins an Oscar in competition, and Rami Malek who qualifies the best actor for his interpretation of singer Queen Freddie Mercury.
