KOFI DENIED …
Reminder: The show started with Stephanie and Shane McMahon in the ring for a signing ceremony for the Fastlane title match. They briefly introduced Daniel Bryan (in camera) and then gave Kofi a lengthy introduction detailing his career and accomplishments. He was accompanied by a video package.
Bryan signed the contract, but before Kofi could follow him, Vince McMahon appeared. He complimented Kofi, describing his career as outstanding and thanking him for all he had done at WWE. He then fell into a "however," claiming that he had the duty to deliver the biggest box office and that he was therefore replacing Kofi in the match against Kevin Owens.
Later backstage, Owens spoke to Stephanie and Shane. He told them that he had empathy for Kofi and asked to team up with him against Daniel Bryan and Rowan tonight. Stephanie said she would take the matter under advisement.
In the main event, Owens scored the pin on Bryan with a Stunner. Owens and Kofi looked pretty smooth as a team.
Rating: This was definitely a surprise. Owens was clearly presented as a face in video packages leading to his return, and Owens did not even approach the heel behavior.
It is interesting to note that Vince McMahon's new character seems to be the one pulling the rug from beneath the skin. fans.
Prediction: It is almost impossible to see where this is going. Sometimes, when that happens, it comes from a lack of coherence or logic, but that is not the case here. That's why it's good for fans to find themselves a bit in the dark.
HARDY BOYZ RETURN …
Reminder: After the opening segment, the bar was waiting for his opponents. To everyone's surprise, the Hardy Boyz descended on the ramp.
At the end of a fairly brief match, Matt hit the Twist of Fate on Sheamus followed by a Jeff Swanton for the flag.
Rating: Tonight has been a night of surprises. I had the impression that Matt's career was essentially over, apart from special appearances of the type 'legends'.
Forecast: The division by keyword is somewhat deteriorated, so it should change things a little bit. 19659010] ANOTHER GOOD PROMOTION FOR CHARLOTTE …
Reminder: At the end of the second hour, Charlotte Flair came out for a promo. She mentioned Vince McMahon replacing Kofi Kingston, saying it improved the game. She said it was almost as good a replacement as her replacement for Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. She pointed out that unlike Becky, "she knows her way and stays there", doing everything she asked. She also called Ronda out for abandoning the title on Monday. She said that she would never give up and that she would be on Raw on Monday to be crowned champion.
Rating: Charlotte's heel promotions have been great and tonight was no exception. Prediction: It is highly unlikely that Ronda and Becky will authorize the transfer of the title to Charlotte. I am waiting for a stormy confrontation involving the three people in order to continue progressing towards a triple threat.
