LONDON – British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran married his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn, during a "tiny winter wedding," Sun newspaper reported on Thursday.
"Ed is married a few days before Christmas calm – just the older Ed school mates, the limited family and the priest," an anonymous source told the tabloid.
The 28-year-old artist, one of the world's best-selling artists, has known Seaborn since his childhood in Suffolk, in east-end England.
They would have been together since 2015.
The Sun reported that there were only about 40 people at the ceremony that was taking place on his Suffolk estate.
"wanted this to be something entirely for them – a tiny winter wedding," said the source.
However, the couple reportedly planned to hold a "festival-style party" this summer.
Sheeran announced her engagement. on Instagram in January 2018, stating: "We are very happy and in love, and our cats are there."
The Sheeran label did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
