Priyanka Chopra's message after the air strike urges the Pakistani petition to remove her from her duties as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador

Priyanka Chopra was appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambbadador in 2016.

An online petition calling for the removal of Priyanka Chopra as a goodwill ambbadador for UNICEF was launched after her tweet that she congratulated Indian Air Force last week's air attack on the line of control that destroyed a terrorist camp in Pakistan.

"Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces", Priyanka Chopra tweeted on February 26th.

The petition on the Avaaz online platform requests the removal of the actor from the post because it has not remained "neutral".

"The war between two nuclear powers can only lead As a traveling ambbadador for UNICEF, PriyankaChopra was supposed to remain neutral and peaceful […] It no longer deserves this title (sic), "reads the text.

The United Nations and UNICEF petition received more than 4,200 signatures out of 5,000. UNICEF has not commented on this, reports tmz.com.

Priyanka Chopra was appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambbadador in 2016. She has been collaborating with UNICEF for over 10 years.

Indian warplanes were the main camp coach of the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot, Pakistan, last Tuesday. The strikes took place after more than 40 CRPF soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir on 14 February.
