Frazer Harrison / Staff Getty Images 19659004] A Guardians of the Galaxy Sean Gunn, who played Rocket Racoon on set and also Kraglin in the first two films, is the brother of director James Gunn, who was fired from the franchise following the re-emergence of old offensive tweets.
And, speaking recently, Sean revealed he's still "excited to make" the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie, as are the
"I do not know exactly how it's going to work, but I feel like we're going to make the third movie."

"I'm excited to make it, I think it's a disservice to the fans if we did not make it and I know the people who worked o n the Guardians movies are really a family, and we're gonna come together and make the best movie we can regardless of who's in charge.
"I just have this feeling everything's gonna work itself out. "
Sean's comments follow a promise from Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt that there will still be a third movie, despite the controversy surrounding James' exit.

Pratt also told Variety : " I'm going to be a third movie, I do not know exactly what it's going to look like, but I know everyone on board is just eager to give the fans what they want and wrap up a trilogy in a meaningful way. "
Marvel boss Kevin Feige has also already confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 "will happen".
So yeah, it looks like it's going ahead ahead alright.
