This week, Ayan made his Instagram debut, and flooded with glimpses of the much-awaited movie, and also shared more information about the inception 'Brahmastra', stating how to close his friend Ranbir was the first person to know about the project.
Ayan posted a picture of Ranbir from the set of 'Brahmastra' with the caption: "Director & Actor. Ranbir – The absolute first person has heard about Brahmāstra and the first to have jumped on the ride! Writing for Yeh Jawaani in May 2011, is where the idea was born … and Ranbir was my first call. Earlier, drones projected the film's logo in the sky on the last day of the Kumbh Mela. It was the first of its kind when the filmmakers involved drones to feature the logo on such a large scale on Maha Shivratri. A video with Amitabh Bachchan describing the god of all weapons, Brahmastra, was also released. In this video, Ranbir asks him if there is any weapon in bits and pieces, but if one is to join the pieces, it forms a circle and has a sign embossed on it. And Amitabh steps up and says there is one such weapon, "Brahmastra: The most powerful of all weapons and the pride of our culture."
The makers of the film revealed the names of Ranbir and Alia's characters and also shared numerous pictures. 'Brahmastra' has been shot in New York, Bulgaria and Mumbai, among other locations. It is the first part of a trilogy sci-fi, and features Amitabh, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna as well. The film is scheduled to be released on December 20 this year.
